Hidden amongst Appalachian peaks you’ll find Swannanoa, located in eastern Buncombe County between Asheville and Black Mountain. Swannanoa is perfectly located in close proximity to the arts and entertainment of Black Mountain and Asheville while maintaining some distance for a calmer way of life.

After completing the Grove Park Inn on Sunset Mountain, around 1905, E.W. Grove became interested in purchasing land in the Swannanoa area for the purpose of creating his own village.
