Here’s a little background behind the operation: Josh, the Manor’s head Chef, grew up on a 30+ acre farm. Together with Chase, the head Gardner, who implements and cultivates the garden, this duo shares a wealth of knowledge in regards to sustainable agriculture. They collaborate on vegetable and herb choices for their guests.
This knowledge and creativity planted the dream for Applewood Manor’s innovative and creative niche in Bed & Breakfasts of today. Their farm to table philosophy, or as they like to call it “garden to gut”, is progressively evolving as their 13’x23′ greenhouse just arrived. Now they can continue serving their guests the highest and best quality organic foods available year-round! Their garden is a short 35 paces from the back door of Applewood Manor, where they spend a lot of their free time.
Applewood Manor has been in business since 1987. Josh, Chase and AJ are the third owners and building on a great tradition of B&B’s here in Asheville. They have not wasted any time in earning their reputation of youth and vibrance.
